Welcome to the smallest scale theater, toy theater!

*microscope (from the Greek: μικρός, mikrós, "small" and σκοπεῖν, skopeîn, "to look" or "see") is an instrument to see objects too small for the naked eye.

"microScope Toy Theater" (CA, USA) is a touring company, that focuses on the idea of creating a repertoire of miniature spectacles to introducing new audiences to the genre of Toy Theater. Traditional Toy or Model Theater is just an inspiration for each creation of “microScope Toy Theater”. Combining paper sets, puppets, found objects and storytelling, "microScope Toy Theater" surprises adults with its "micro" size sets while introducing the youngest audiences to the big world of Toy Theater performance.
The originally composed music score for each spectacle allow a viewer to experience the story on a deeper emotional level, when the visuals and the sound become the whole.

“... a unique theatrical experience for all ages!”.

“The Fisherman’s Dream”

When two dimensional paper characters start to interact with a live environment of nature, something really intriguing and magical appears. It takes the audience to a new unexplored territory –poetic and absurd as if somebody’s dream is being told...
A new show “The Fisherman’s Dream” is based on a folk tale told by A. Pushkin.
30min. spectacle in miniature performed with table-top paper sets, objects, stop motion animation and film.
